Brr!

The weather man seems to never be wrong on the wind or the cold this year.  Woke up to -19 with wind chills pushing close to -60. Our outside dog, Maggie, got to spend the night in the house last night. She likes to come in for a little bit so last night it took her awhile to settle down and not cry to get back out. She was very ready to get outside this morning at 7. She hasn't came back to the door yet. She doesn't have several bales of straw she like to cuddle into. She will have to come back in shortly again to warm back up.  Wibaux's Lutheran church had cancelled church on Friday afternoon, the church at Beach waited until this morning to cancel. It's just to cold to venture outside, no need to have the people out running around.  The wind has came up quite a bit in the last half hour. I thought at 7 when I got up that maybe we won't get that strong of the wind they were talking about - but here it is. The State of Minnesota has cancelled school for tomorrow, our governor has just told the schools to use their best judgment. I guarantee that we will have school tomorrow. Beach hardly ever cancels school. I could use another day at home - LOL. I have truly enjoyed Christmas break this year - two full weeks. We were blessed that all the girls were able to come for Christmas Eve. We all attended church service and enjoyed a wonderful prime rib supper then opened gifts. Christmas Day Jim, Kelly, and I enjoyed watching Christmas movies and just chilling. Six o'clock in the evening I took off for Bismarck to babysit Brody for 2 days. We had a blast!! Love that little boy! New Year's Eve Jim and I went to Mark and Dawn Egan's it was a great time of visiting with a lot of friends we hadn't seen in some time. New Year's Day we stayed home as the weather wasn't to good. January 2nd we went to Bismarck to see Denise and wish her a happy birthday and treat them to supper. Love having breaks so that I can see my girls. We did make a trip to Glendive to visit Patty and Brayden too. They live the closest and we don't get to visit them as often it seems.
